History

The Department of History commenced its journey in 1982. The students who graduated from the college especially those with BA (History, Economics, Political Science) background, achieved milestones in State civil service examinations and also made significant contributions as teachers, professors, and businessmen. These accomplishments underscore the institution's unwavering commitment to education and empowerment.

• To Impart a critical understanding of Indian society, economy, polity, and culture through a historical perspective.
• To introduce the various Indian and foreign traditions of history writing
