National Service Scheme

Introduction: The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government sector public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community. Our college NSS unit was started in 1980 and since then has conducted various camps and schemes for the development of the students. Many students of our college have participated in the state and national level camps. Our college NSS unit has provided support in rural areas and helped the community through its rendered service.  The NSS unit of our college also conducts cleanliness drive inside as well as outside the campus and has joined hands with various agencies in cleanliness drives.

Objectives:

  1. To adhere to the societal need through service before self.
  2. To develop the personality through activities.

3.Blood donation camp.
4. Cleanliness drive during Mangalore Dasara.
5. Guest lecture on “Plant a Tree and Plant a hope for Future”
6. Awareness program on voting.
