Student activities

Traditional Day

The Traditional Day is observed as a celebration of India’s diverse culture, food, custom. It is a Day designated for students to wear traditional outfit. The celebration is added with the display of traditional food specially of south canara district with the intention of being aware of their culture. They get an opportunity to showcase the rich and vibrant culture, traditions of our country.

Educational Tour

Educational trips give a break from traditional classroom learning and provide students with a chance to learn about a particular place or subject in a more interactive and immersive way. It gives a practical experience for the students. It provides students with a chance to think creatively and critically. An hands on interaction with the people who work in the industries and the practical knowledge gained through these interactions help the students to have practical experience of the work places. It provides the opportunity for the students to learn different culture, custom etc.

National day celebrations

National festivals are the pride of every country. National day is a celebrated to mark the nationhood of state and nation. India commemorates three National festival.  We observe St. Philosopher Bhramashree Narayana Guru Jayanthi as founders day every year at our college. Inter college Elocution competitions is organized on the same.  Independence Day. Republic day, Karnataka Rajostava and many more such days of national importance are celebrated in our college.

Constitutional Day

Constitutional Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’ is celebrated on 26th January to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. It also helps to promotes constitutional values among students. Celebrated on 26th November every year it celebrates the adoption of the constitution of India.

Electoral Day

The theme of Electoral Day is ‘No voter to be left Behind’.  In order to encourage  more young voters to take part in the political process and focus on the fact that the right to vote is a basic right. Our students have gone for Awareness Campaign in the vicinity of the college for the same.

World Environment Day:

World Environment Day encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment. It reminds us to consolidate our planet and ensure that the Environment is conserved at all cost. By planting the Sapling in the college campus, we encouraged and created awareness and take action to protect our environment.

International Yoga Day

For the physical, mental, Spiritual  and emotional state of mind we celebrate Yoga Day on June 21st  every year.  It is encouraged to practice yoga as a part of everyday life. It is celebrated to raise awareness about its importance. Students of our college were part of this program. Students involve themselves in yoga and meditation. The college focus is on the overall development of the students.

National Youth Day Celebration

International Youth Day is commemorated every year on 12th August, bringing youth issue to the attention of the international community and celebrating the potential of youth as partners in global society.  It aims to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. NSS unit students participated for the same in our college.

Vijay Diwas

To commemorate India’s decisive victory over Pakistan in Kargil war. NCC Wing students from our college participated in the same at Kadri park along with AMO Lt. Praveen.  The NCC students take part in the parade at the war memorial at Kadri Park in Mangalore.

Orientation

Orientation marks a successful beginning of a college session as it assures to the new students that they made a good decision in their college choice. It creates student is familiar with the institution’s rules and regulations and academic standard. Every year on the first day of the commencement of the college we organize an Orientation program for the admitted students and introduce all the Faculties, rules and regulations of the college is familiarized.

Inter class cultural fest

The roots of India lie in its culture and its significance and as an Institution. It is important to inculcate these values and thoughts using various modes. Cultural Fest is an important part of college life. They provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and creativity. They are also a great way to break the monotony of regular classes and Exams.  We celebrate cultural fest as Talents Day celebration in our college. Students exhibit their talents and provide a great way to build team spirit and promote a sense of belonging among students.

Inter- class competitions

It enhances the student’s social skill, communicate effectively, and perform new activities which not only help them to learn new skills but also boost their confidence. The students need to work together with their peers over other team towards a common team.  Various associations of our college organize Inter-class activities for the students. As a part of college day celebration Inter class activities are conducted.

Sadhbhavana Day

As a mark of respect to the later prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, we observe Sadbhavana Day on 20th August. It promotes national unity, peace, empathy and communal harmony, goodwill, across people of various faiths and cultures. We celebrate Sadhbhavana Day by taking oath to promote consciousness among the students not to involve any kind of anti-social Activities in the society.  Oath taking is done by the students on Sadhbhavana Divas.
