Student Counseling Cell :

Student Counseling Cell aims at helping the students not only with their academic difficulties but also with their personal and emotional problems. Students and parents may always approach student welfare officer for guidance and help in their academic, personal and emotional problems.

Grievance Cell :

Grievance Cell is functioning in the college to deal with genuine grievances of the students. A suggestion cum grievance box is also kept near the Principals chamber. Students can make use of the box for bringing their grievances to the notice of the Principal through the cell. They can also present their grievances personally to the Principal.

Please Take Special Note

Students are strictly not permitted to possess and use mobile phones, cellular phone and pagers within the college premises. Such items if confiscated, will not be returned. Again penalty will be levied for such an act.
Students attending class or other gatherings within the college are expected to be neatly dressed in accordance with the rules of approved etiquette. Violation of uniform dress code is not tolerated. Wearing of indecent dresses, T-Shirts, Fancy Ornaments (boys), Long hair (boys) is strictly prohibited.

Without obtaining prior permission from the Principal, no picnics, send-off parties, get together, in which our students are involved, either in the campus or in any other place are to be organised. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate these rules.

Indulging in tuition outside the college is strongly discouraged. Students who have particular difficulty in any subject are recommended to approach the lecturers for help. They are also advised to attend remedial classes organised for such students.
75% attendance in each subject is compulsory to qualify for the university examinations. Only the University can condone attendance below 75%.

Under NEP students are required to compulsorily take part in Co- curricular and Extra-curricular activities during the first four Semesters. which will be evaluated in terms of marks and credits.

The Academic Advisor and Tutorial System

  1. The tutorial system in the college is organised with a view to develop the student teacher relationship effectively on an intimate, mutually helpful and co-operative basis.
  2. Each student is placed under the charge of an Academic Advisor who is a member of the teaching staff of the college and act as the class guide.
  3. The students are encouraged to consider their Academic Advisor as their local guardian within the college.
  4. Students should meet the Academic Advisor as often as possible within the college and discuss freely and frankly their problems connected with the college and studies.
  5. Each class will be under the charge of an Academic Advisor who will look into the general discipline and progress of the class.
  6. The parents of the students are advised to contact the respective Academic Advisor at least once in the term to know the attendance, progress and discipline of their ward.
  7. The report about each student will be submitted to the Principal by the respective Academic Advisors at the end of every term. The progress report will be sent to the parents at the end of the term examinations.
  8. Leave applications by the students should be submitted through the Academic Advisor.

To Parents and Guardians

  • Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with the college authorities by enforcing discipline, so that students should be devoted to study at home. If parents do not insist on regular attendance and home study, the results are sure to be disappointing to them.
  • Absence from a class should be justified by a leave note from the student signed by the parent/guardian. A leave note for a long absence due to illness ought to be supported by a medical certificate. A medical certificate does not entitle a student for attendance.
  • Absence from college examinations will be considered seriously. Absence, even for one subject should be justified by a written note. A medical note is needed in case of illness. Re examinations cannot be considered as a matter of right. In case of illness during the examinations, parents are expected to inform the Principal immediately.
  • Some parents express their surprise at the end of the year, at the unsatisfactory attendance and progress of their children inspite of sending reports to them. Progress reports of students will be issued after the examinations. Some students failed to hand over their progress reports to their parents/guardians. You are requested to come over to the college office and check in case the reports are not received by you within the reasonable time.
  • You are asked to meet the Academic Advisor or other lecturers if unsatisfactory progress or poor attendance is brought to your notice. The minimum of 75% attendance is required to complete the course without which a student is not eligible to appear for the final examination. They will not be readmitted to the college.
  • We expect parents to participate in parent meetings and other activities of the college like founders day, sports day, prize distribution day, college day etc.
  • Attendance at Parent Teacher meeting is mandatory. In case you are not able to attend for a just reason, a written note should be sent to the Principal.
  • Parents are specially requested not to allow their children to use motorized vehicle without a valid licence and insurance.
  • Use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the college premises. So parents are specially asked not to allow their children to bring cell phone to the college. Uniform dress code is to be followed on all days.
  • Students are prohibited from wearing, fancy ornaments (boys), long hair (boys). Parents kindly advice your children in this regard.
