In this college economics department was established in 1983. This department not only fosters academic excellence but also provides abundant opportunities for students to shine in extracurricular activities. The students of this department have consistently achieved high marks in Mangalore University examinations. It is also to be noted that many students of this department are working in different colleges as the economic lecturers. Some students are working in government departments like agricultural department and other. Two lecturers of this department are student of this college. An average forty percent students get financial assistance in the form of scholarships.

Objectives

1. Our department students learn to think creatively and deeply about some of the very important economic problem faced by our country today.
2. Providing quality education to economically Backward classes.
3. Motivate the students to bring out their creativity and critical thinking.
